Lions and Tigers and FLEAS

Fleas....this girl has fleas!!! Mommy is not happy with this situation at all!!! You see I don't have them....hmmmmm. Mommy was holding Pilar the other night and saw IT!!! She freaked, she hates those things. We have never had those things b4. Grrrrr When mommy worked at the vet she saw people come in all the time asking for "help" with fleas and would feel so bad for them. We got our medicine for those things...how did this happen. Mommy says it was because Pilar was out gallivanting across the street with the flea and tick ridden neighbor dog. *That is why she can't be trust....that running off thing*
So mommy is going to dunk her and the house and clip her. Oh no wait....she can't find the clippers....tee hee....we think daddy threw them away on accident. hahahahahaha So I guess that means off to the groomers she goes. HAHAHAHAHAHA Wait.......does that mean I have to go to??? Mommy...........
I gonna go help find those clippers!!

Mommy here, just wanted to say thank you to everyone for coming by and checking on us! We are still so sad about Miz Greta. The puppies are doing fine and Pepper is being a great "mommy" to them. We appreciate each and everyone of you!

What a bummer that you have fleas, Pilar! We hope the clip and the dip helps! You have the same pink piggie that we do! Isn't she just the coolest?!

Love ya lots,

We love the groomers. We get to go tomorrow. They give you lots of treats and you get to poop in a big field.
We have had trouble with fleas this year also. Foley chewed his hair off of one flank. We all got the treatment. It's not so bad.
Here's to getting rid of those nasty buggers.

Ugh, I was at the groomer's today. You didn't get fleas, Willow, why should you have to go? Not fair!

We're glad to hear Gretta's puppies are doing well. Pepper is a good substitute mom to them!

Brown dog kisses,
Dannan

Sorry about the fleas Pilar, but, well, that's what happens when you hang out with the wrong crowd! I hope you find the clippers Willow, cause a trip to the groomers is no fun!

I'm so glad to hear that Greta's pups are doing well - thank goodness for Pepper!

Hi Willow! It took a long time to fix Rudolph, but he's fine now...as are Paco and Pierre. They are just sitting on a shelf, here waiting to go home. We are soooo happy to hear that Greta's puppies are doing fine! We have been very worried about all of them!

Do y'all use the flea stuff from the vet that you just put between the shoulder blades? It is the BEST. Kills fleas in all stages and eggs and any that jump on them!
(Mom is thinking-Advantage maybe-her mind is gone after messing with the puter so much)
Anyway, hope it all gets sorted out.
Hugs
Sunny

FLeas this year are really bad. I have had a few outbreaks over the years, but normally they are controllable. This year No matter what I use as a topical nothing is controlling the fleas. I have found that if there is a specific area my pup is really trying to get at and I have exhausted all other options (dip, carpet powder, monthly spot treatments) A no-fail for hot spots and helping with relief is good Ole vinegar! Yes, A mixture of Vinegar and Water, about 40/60 vinegar 40/water 60. I just scoop it on with my hands and rub in it. After the initial WTHECK did mommy put on me, she crashes from finally no itching! My dog is raw fed, so I know her issues are not food related and are not a foodborne skin issue. BUT for hot spots, This also works well! Good luck!
